The support of the vulnerable women of the Papua New Guinean highlands has always been at the centre of what we do here at the Waniati Maternal Waiting Home. Including the dignified transport of mothers in labour to hospital, for a supervised and safe birth to ensure their baby gets the best start in life possible.

Our ability to carry out our mission is entirely dependent on the generosity of our donors, our partners and our community supporters, and this amazing network of individuals, businesses, and government entities came together in December to help us fundraise at our inaugural Charity Gala Dinner - the singular focus of this event was to help us raise enough money to modernise our primary transport vehicle.

We are very excited and thankful today to announce that this dream has been realised. With the direct support of Kanda Hire Ltd, and through the money raised we have been able to secure a new 10-Seater Land Cruiser for the mothers at the Waniati Maternal Waiting Home!

This is a life changing event for us and our mothers, and we wanted to sincerely thank from the bottom of our hearts everyone who donated to this cause and was able to join us on the night for our charity dinner. The list is a long one, but we wanted to acknowledge everyone who supported us and continues to support us in our mission to serve the unserved.
