Waniati Maternal Waiting Home would like to thank Project Yumi for your support towards our schools in peri-urban and remote schools in Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.
Most of the schools lack students and teachers resources thus affects students learning.
Our mission is to have a conducive, safe, and engaging environment that is essential for effective teaching and learning, fostering both academic success and emotional well-being for students and teachers.
In our recent visit to the Tarachris Phonics Early Learning School located along Bihute road, in Gahuku LLG, Goroka District to deliver a donation of students and teachers resources such as teacher's table, chairs, desks, books all the way from Australia.
The school co-founders, Ms. Alpha James and Mr Tarashiape Wiriasong said. "We extend our deepest gratitude to project Yumi international and Waniati Local NGO. To protect Yumi thank you for bringing the milestone between Australia and PNG to ensure our children have the quality stationary and furniture they deserve. To Waniati thank you for your local heart and for identifying our school as a place worthy of investment. For four five years we've grown through grit and determination. Today thanks to this two amazing organisation. This resources will directly impact our students ability to learn, grow and succeed."
A huge thank you the teachers, staff and children at TaraChris Phonics Early Learning School for the very warm welcome!!
